Sockets/Data call inititation Hello all.
I am in the final stages of preparing my multiplayer game
for the Motorola Q contest that ends this Friday. I'm
having a small problem that I hope someone has run into
before.
Its seems that my Q will no longer allow me to initiate a data call
(socket) unless I have been previously connected to the internet.
Power cycle the device, run my app, connectivity fails. Bring up
explorer, connect to a web page, then kill explorer. Run my app,
data call connects fine. (And I see those two arrows at the top
of the screen until the next power reset). Seems like something
is wrong. I think I should be able to initiate connectivity (fails with
10065), and also that connectivity should not stay alive forever
when no apps are using it. I could swear this has been working fine
up until recently.
I tried hard resetting and the whole PCS vision settings thing but
nothing seems to fix this. Why can IE initiate data connectivity but
not my app?
Any ideas?
thanks! |
