Default Sniper from Gadgetapps.net

Anyone able to write a program to allow this to work with the BT Stack on the Q. Only Windows Smartphone that won't run it and they have no patch.

Thanks a MILLION in advance cause I can't find a thing and I want FULL BT and sniping capabilities on the Q.

Default Site Down

It would be nice to give us a link to the Sniper product page (if it has one).

However, GadgetApps seems to be down now (I'm getting the Apache CPanel page).

UPDATE: The site is back up. Here's the Smartphone Sniper product page.

Steve it looks like you go away around looking for my posts to try and correct me. You need a new hobby Steve. Especially when what you just said is wrong. I said from gadgetapps.com and you put the same thing...this would be a good time to remember we are all here to help not waste forum space trying to correct someone's every post.

Some of us read most of the new posts: Steve, myself, the MODS, and probally many others. Your original post was gadgetapps.net but both that and gadgetapps.com don't give me a useful page. So instead of having you feeling hurt, just tell help us understand what your post is about. We all love learning and testing things out. I just don't know what a snipe is other than a bird. got no link and googling didn't get me to understand, unless this is auction sniper??

The site is down for right now.

Snipe is a full functional BT application for WM. just not compatible with the Q yet. Site went down bout 1 hour after I posted the thread. Once it comes up again I'll bump the thread.

Did I sound hurt? Not at all just annoyed. If I am wrong just say that. I don't need a major run down or to be chased in all my threads. We are all here for help and if the link he posted above is the same as what I posted (which it is) then no need for a correction...how is that helpful or helping everyone to learn anything?

So in the meantime just sit tight and I'll bump it later.

Thanks for the explanation. Maybe it's not compatible because the Q uses the Broadcom/Widcomm Bluetooth stack, not the Microsoft stack.

You did not post a "link"; you listed a domain name. I posted a true link (something that you can click on and go to the page). I was also not "correcting" you; I was just posting a more helpful "link" so people could more easily get to the site (when it's back up).

What I was asking was for you to post a link to the actual Sniper page (when the site is back up, of course ). That's what I meant about the "correct page" (although maybe I should have said the "Sniper page", so I've edited my earlier post to make that clear).

As for "chasing" you, as Dr. Q correctly surmised, I just occasionally look at the list of new threads and check out ones that sound interesting or where there aren't many posts (meaning somebody might not have gotten the help they're looking for).

For you to assume that I somehow care what you're doing online and am stalking you is pretty egotistical. If you want to continue discussing this, please PM me so we don't derail the thread further.

Steve

I offered to help write a port of the lib required to support the WidComm BT stack, since they offered the API SDK for free now, but Miyagi (guy who runs the place) turned me down.

Unfortunately, since the guy is making money selling copies of it, its not an open source project and he's not about to release the source any time soon.

Did you ask him if he would add support for the Broadcom/Widcomm stack? I can understand being concerned about somebody stealing your source code, but why not expand the market for your program?

Is it a difficult port?

Default Sniper Page

GadgetApps seems to be back up. Here's the Smartphone Sniper page. It does say they only support the Microsoft Bluetooth stack.

I've heard some claims that the Q 9m uses the Microsoft stack (although I wasn't convinced). If that claim is true, maybe Sniper will work on the Q 9m.
