I was experimenting with it yesterday. What it does is replace the SK menus on whatever screen you are working on with it's own menus which contain options for zooming in/out, etc. However, if you move the arrow to the part of the screen that contains the text for the softkeys then the original menus re-appear. This makes SPHelper difficult to work with especially if you have an application like the one I am working on that relies heavily on the SK menus.
