How do I sync my moto q with windows vista contacts, calendar, email?

Hi,

I have a motorola Q and a new HP with Windows Vista. I would like to use the new Windows Contacts, Calendar and email instead of purchasing microsoft outlook.

How do I sync my Q with the new Vista calendar, contacts and email?

Windows Mobile Device Center is used to sync the Q with Vista, but i am not sure of it works without Outlook...

you need outlook to sync contacts/calander. I will still install/remove apps..import files and such.

There has to be a way to use the new Vista programs with having to purchase outlook. Do you know of a way?

nope only outlook with active sync

but you can use yahoo (with yahoo2go) or google calendar/contacts (forget the name of there sync program)

haven't looked into it, few contacts. not worth me buying.

as we just said, no... if there was a way we could make a lot of Q owners happy. M$ wants you to buy Outlook & frankly, since the Q was meant as a business device it's to be expected i think..

Not to ask another stupid question, but why then did Vista come out with Calendar, Contacts and email when you cannot sync with them? Or, does it sync through microsoft outlook?
