Default Express edditions

Hi everyone. I'm getting ready to start putting together some little apps for my Q, and I was wondering if the Visual Studio Express Editions are capable of creating mobile applications?

I don't write enough Windows apps to justify purchasing the full VS2005. thanks for the help.

Well, after searching the MSDN site, I found that the Express Editions do not support the development for any mobile device. I guess I will have to break down and get a copy of VS2005 if I want to do any development for my Q

You will need a copy of Visual Studio 2005. Are you a student? Government employee? Corporate employee? You may be eligible for a significant discount. I am currently in the middle of writing a set of tutorials to assist new developers in smartphone programming. The first tutorial includes setting up Visual Studio with the smartphone Dev Kits.

Cool, well I'm none of the above, but I think that I can my hands on a copy fairly cheap, I'd love to see the tutorial as soon as you get it finished. Thanks a bunch.

The "Professional Edition" (one up from the express) is the lowest one that supports development on mobile devices.
