 |  Difference .NET support in different firmwares? I'm developing an application for the Q and i've come across a wierd problem. I've got one Q with firmware version: Q2-BP_c_06.09.05 (OS Version 5.1.195) and my application works just fine. But i've got another Q with firmware verison: Q2-B_C_04.08.04 (OS Version 5.1.70) and I can't start my .NET app at all. I can't even start a simple HelloWorld application. The error message is gives is: "ERROR: This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft(r) .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device." I'm thinking that the older firmware Q i've got is actually a pre-release version. Ideas/Thoughts? Last edited by jables; 08-29-2006 at 12:19 PM. |

| You don't mention if you've installed the .NET Compact Framework on it...?

| unsure but when i try to install the .NET CF on the devices it says that it is already installed and i need to uninstall previous versions. problem is that there's nothing on the uninstall list |

| I believe it's detecting that it's already installed on your desktop PC. Try uninstalling it from your PC, then reinstall it with the problematic Q attached. I got the same message when I tried installing the framework on my replacement Q and had to uninstall the framework from Add/Remove programs on my PC, and then try again.
