Change "Network Selection" (Roaming/Home/Auto) programatically

My office is behind a hill so I get poor Sprint coverage at work. Everyday I come to the office I switch my phone into roaming only mode so I don't drop calls. The problem is that at my house I get poor roaming coverage but Sprint coverage is great. So if I forget to switch my phone back to automatic when I leave I end up missing calls at home. To further frustrate me changing the network setting doesn't always take the first time, sometimes I have to change it multiple times for it to take effect.

To make a long story short I'd like write and application that would run in the background that will change my network selection at scheduled times. Anyone have any experience changing the network selection programatically?
