Default My Full Layout

After trying lots of home screens, I decided to make a custom version of VZW Full Layout that had everything I needed on 1 screen.

Here are the changes:
- Removed the Wireless Sync line
- Removed the 2 Quick Launch Buttons
- Removed the ERI Plugin (This wasted 1 line telling you your carriers name)
- Added MMS Message Counter
- Moved the Voicemail Counter to same line as other Message Counters
- Modified Email Message Counter to include all accounts
- Centered the Time/Carrier/Date and Message Counter plugins
- Added the All Day Event plugin
- Modified a few plugin heights and font sizes
- Removed color changes affecting non-home screen colors

All other "hidden" plugins that add themselves as needed are in this home screen. While this will make it go beyond 1 screen when they show up, I wanted to be alerted to them, so I kept them in.

NOTE: I have recently attached the screenshot(s) and XML file(s) directly to this post. Since XML attachments are not allowed, I had to append ".txt" to it. To use this XML file, just remove ".txt" before copying it to your Q.

For non VZW customers, be sure to download the background image.

This home screen contains no 3rd party plugins or graphics (unless you are not on VZW, which is why I supplied the background).

Default My Full Layout v2

I've noticed that if you have more than 1 "All Day Event", then this plugin isn't worth it. After removing it, I've taken advantage of the real estate by putting the VZW Shortcut plugin back onto the home screen.

NOTE: I have recently attached the screenshot(s) and XML file(s) directly to this post. Since XML attachments are not allowed, I had to append ".txt" to it. To use this XML file, just remove ".txt" before copying it to your Q.

At this point, I am going to work on adding 3rd party plugins. I am looking at 2 more versions. Version 3 will include the Fizz Weather plugin (in place of the VZW Shortcuts). Version 4 will use the Facade plugin (this will replace the VZW Shortcuts and Next Appointment areas). Note: These plugins are commercial products and you would need to purchase them to get the added functionality. I will not be including both plugins as my goal is to make single page Home Screens and there isn't enough real estate for them.

Once I put up versions 3 and 4, I will stop for a while to answer questions on how you can modify these to suit your own needs.

Default My Full Layout v3

OK. That was an easy modification. The next one won't be so easy, seeing as I have not coded Facade before (I just borrowed code from other home screens).

NOTE: I have recently attached the screenshot(s) and XML file(s) directly to this post. Since XML attachments are not allowed, I had to append ".txt" to it. To use this XML file, just remove ".txt" before copying it to your Q.

Remember, if you want to use this Home Screen, you will need to purchase Fizz Weather. Fizz Weather has a 3 day free trial if you want to take it for a spin.

Hey Gadget, i got your "XP Moblie" Home screen and everything is great with it, changed my name on it and all. One problem, the top line where signal and battery life, etc are, well on yours it's black, matching the rest of the theme, but on the one i've got it's white and you can't see anything on the line. is there a quick fix for this or did i do something wrong? Thanks

Correction, i've noticed that my background is actually just one line down, help, how can i fix this?

Make sure that in settings you have both Color Scheme and Background image set to Default and the white area at the top will not be there.

The icon bar in most of my themes is transparent and the images are 320x240. If you use a different background image than the one in the theme you need to make sure it is 320x240 and you need to edit the xml file and put your image in there or rename your image to the same name as the one used in the theme.

Default My Full Layout v4

Well guys and gals, this is my last installment of the 1 page home screens. This one takes advantage of Facade to make a tabbed section for Schedule, Tasks, and Programs. You will notice that I got rid of the MRU bar at the top. You can customize the Programs tab to include your most used applications, so the MRU wasn't needed. Like Fizz Weather in v3, Facade is a commercial product that has a trial so you can see if you like it.

NOTE: I have recently attached the screenshot(s) and XML file(s) directly to this post. Since XML attachments are not allowed, I had to append ".txt" to it. To use this XML file, just remove ".txt" before copying it to your Q.

This screen shows the Program Launcher. Notice the arrow on the right side of the Launcher bar. You can scroll left and right to choose one of up to 19 applications that you can choose in the Facade Settings program.

That's all. I hope that you find these home screens useful. I'm happy to answer questions about these home screens and how to modify them.
