Default What do you look for in a home screen?

Although I'm new at this I tend to pick up on things fairly quickly. What I'd like to do is start making a load of custom screens for the motoQ and I've noticed that the majority of screens on this website come from one person (fine job btw). So I'd like to know what most people want in a homescreen so that I can start to tailor them to meet the majorities needs. Colors, Plugins, Themes, Subjects, etc. This will give me some much needed practice and hopefully I'll be making an appreciated contribution to the Qmunnity.

I'm sure you'll get a million different preferences so here goes. I like lighter backgrounds (not very busy) with dark (black) letters. Information I like on the home screen - messaging (I use phoneAlarm) time and date (e.g. carrier plug-in), device status (e.g. icon bar) and my calendar and tasks (I use Facade).

interesting. Although I can't figure out why you would want a WV logo blocking the scenery...

I prefer the screen to be very empty. I just really need the time, and since I paid for fizz weather I try to incorporate it into every homescreen I make. Also, because I bought the phone with outlook email in mind, I keep a tally of new emails there too. So there are the 3 things I want to see...but I already made myself a homescreen. I ripped the clock off some homescreen I found elsewhere, but the rest is original.

I like my homescreen to have very little on it as well. Gives it a clean look.

Has anyone found an iPhone home screen with working buttons without the weather? Just a clean homescreen?

I don't think it would be too hard to make one would it?

i like what i made/changed with one of eko's screens... using Facade. there are screenshots all over the forum, i think too many home screens miss functional information i.e. Bluetooth.....
