soft key not changing color

im a n00bie to this phone, i really like it so far. ive downloaded a few homepage 'themes' if you will from this site. figured out where to install them and all (great FAQ's on here btw) but im just having one issue. the soft keys remain blue (oem) no matter which homescreen i put on there. ive looked through the code and its what its supposed to be.

any ideas? thanks for your help

go to settings>home screen>color scheme=scroll to "black soft keys"
