Does anyone know how to hide the zero for your email/SMS alerts and then have it appear if/when you receive a message?

Also, is it possible to show a picture/icon instead of having a number count for messages?

-Basically I am trying to design a screen that when I receive a text a small picture of a phone appears. is it possible? I've looked around and can't find anything or get anything to work.

Thanks! I'll check out phonealarm. Is there a way to do this without having to buy a plugin? I wanted to keep the HS free for myself and others when i post it.

No, I don't think so. The built-in messaging plugin only allows to show the number of messages, no graphical alarm or something...
