Default Set Opera as defaul browser in sliding panel links
I know some of you hate the IE browser as much as I do, and also wanted to know how to have links in a panel launch in Opera instead of IE.
Well, I found the answer over at XDA-Developers. First, start Opera and set it as your default browser. Then launch Chome Config, go to the panel with the links, to the field with the website address and replace MSIE with DEFBROWSER.
Do the same for the softkey link.
Now I can kiss IE goodbye.

So is there a way with the Internet Template to just have a list of some websites, and it will go to them directly when you click from the homes screen?

Yes.... each website gets it's own page in the panel.
