Default Removing MRU and Displaying only User Defined Selections

Just got my 9c a couple of weeks ago and just started making it mine Monday. I was able to install the wall paper I wanted (XP mobile) but I'm having difficulty modifying the xml file to do exactly what I want. At present it is displaying my MRU list as well as the User Defined Selections. I tried setting the MRU list to 0 but in effect just removes the entire list, both MRU and my selections. I was trying to find the default Sprint layout xml file to see what it had as far as code for that section but haven't been able to find it yet.

you cant change the MRU
but apparently there is a certain sprint option to allow for certain icons that you select to appear on your homescreen

Yeah I have the 9c. I like the option that Sprint gave us because I can lock my shortcuts on the home screen if I use the default view, was hoping there was a way I could access it using a call from xml. I found the list of available plugins in one of the tutorials, just none addressed the shortcut issue I was referring to. I just got so used to it in a couple of days that having to turn around seems unfair...I'll keep tinkering, it's only Windows after all. Only so many places you can hide it.

I have that functionality on my Q9H with AT&T and I love it!

Well with Sprint:

Start-->Personalize My Q-->Home Screen Shortcuts-->Show User Defined Shortcuts

Once you check the box you are able to click a link and go in and define the shortcuts.

I'm a newbie, too and love this feature on my Sprint Q9c.

However, I've found a quirk with it.

If I have selected a homescreen that I have dl'd from everythingq I am unable to modify the shortcuts on the screen using the Personalize My Q function.

Well, I can go in to the Personalize list and check the ones I want as well as modify their order. But after I select Done and press the home key, well, there are a couple other shortcuts there that I didn't select.

Any insight into how I might resolve this?

Thanks in advance.

BTW - I am using der alta's 1st Stacy Keibler homescreen here.

Edit - doesn't seem related to using the Keibler homescreen. I am only able to get my shortcuts locked on the screen when I select the Sprint Layout.

Additional question - anyone know how I can get rid of the Profile line on the Sprint Layout screen? I really hate that line.

Glad you like that screen.

I developed that screen on an original Q and haven't changed anything on it. What you're running into may be a conflict between The way sprint loads that plugin and the way I configured the plugins.

Can you set your Sprint screen the way you want it (with chosen shortcuts selected) and then load that XML up to here? That way I can take a look at it, and rework the Stacy Keibler screen to incorporate it.

Just a thought.
