I really hate that line. | In the XML you just delete the profile plugin. The XML is very compartmentalized and exists in sections so it's quite easy to recognize the patterns and then just take out or put in the sections you want/don't want. There's tons of people here to help, lots more proficient than me. So take a crack at doing it yourself, it's a lot more fulfilling as well. |

| Yeah, I found them there. Here's the rub, though:
I have selected the Sprint layout for my home screen layout, but I can't find that .xml file in the application data\home folder. I only see full.home, green.scheme, guava.scheme, largefont.home, nomru.home, and simple.home xml files in that folder.
It might be one of those, but I don't know. |

<title> name </title>
hope this helps..

| I have been looking for the Sprint Layout on my Q9c as well. I have concluded that it must be in ROM, as I can't find it anywhere. I would like to look at the xml as it appears to have some stuff I would like to reverse engineer. |

| Yeah, was never able to find the default Sprint XML file either.
All the layouts I've found have a plugin for the MRU, which seems to be the only supported plugin pertaining to the icons. I've tried removing that line since modifying it had little effect. If you choose to define your shortcuts w/ the Sprint feature I believe it does your shortcuts plus the MRU.
Was getting me upset for a while, then figured I'd make my own work around until I can figure out how to get it to work properly. I've used the feature Sprint offers along w/ their default layout, just changed the image to the one I wanted and modified the color settings. So far so good. Not 100% what I wanted but it'll work until I figure out the other issue. I found an xml that says it Sprints, but I don't see any info in it either. |

Have you guys tried unchecking "hide system/hidden files" and unchecking "hide file extensions"? I always do that just to make sure I'm looking at ALL the available files and their proper file extension.

MaRiA | My boss would be upset that this never crossed my mind. That was exactly it. Found the xml file w/ the right class id for the shortcuts (homescreenshortcuts). Copied the part shortcuts portion into the new xml file, reloaded and works. Seems a touch sluggish, not sure if it's related. Now just have to figure out if there's a way to take the name of the apps out and put them back on the right, but that should be pretty straightforward I think. |
