Default Removing lines on homescreen

I was wondering how one would go about removing the lines that appear between plugins on the homescreen. I got some of them to go away by setting b-border-width="0" but there remain some lines around my shortcuts plugin. Here is the code for the shortcut plugin.

<plugin clsid="{79C2BAE5-81F2-40ab-88B1-2458EE17DDF2}" name="VZW_SHORTCUT_PLUGIN_2003">
<shortcut1 target="\windows\\Start Menu\pword.lnk" text="" usefileicon="\windows\\Start Menu\pword.lnk">
<label fontsize="16">
<text lang="0x0409">Word Mobile</text>
</label>
</shortcut1>

And here is my default tags

<default target-width="240" target-height="320" font-face="Segoe Condensed" font-size="16" font-weight="bold" padding-left="5" padding-right="5" bgcolor="transparent" fgcolor="COLOR_HOMETEXT" padding-top="0" b-border-color="transparent" b-border-width="0">
<format state="selected" fgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHTTEXT"/>
</default>

Ryan

This is what it looks like right now (minus the big black X of coarse). As you can see there are still small blue lines that are under the google and groupwise shortcuts and under the word and live tv shortcuts. I know that it is not part of the bg image, but I cannot for the life of me see anywhere in my code that it could be. I even tried putting that b-border-width="0" tag into the shortcuts, but no luck. I have attached my xml in txt format too incase that helps.

Thanks,
Ryan

it has to be:

Quote:
background b-border-width="0"
also i think it is not necessary to also put the color for the border/line if you don't use the border. make sure to load and apply another home screen before reloading this one, else the changes will not take effect.

hope this helps.

Rudeboy,

I am not sure if you meant to remove that tag, or to place it in another place. I have tried putting the border attributes in nearly all the tags surrounding the area and setting the value to 0, that did not work. I have also removed all border attributes in all tags, and that did not work. I am at a loss. The only explanation I can come up with is that it is written into the plugin (not even sure if that is possible) or that there is something in my color scheme xml that is effecting it.

I appreciate any ideas you all may have, but I understand this is a bit of an odd problem. I may just scrap the entire thing and start over.

Thanks,
Ryan

what i meant was that in your code it just reads "b-border-width" and it should read "background b-border-width".. i have never run into a plugin that has lines hard-coded in them.

if you are really in a bind you can e-mail me the .xml, the text file you attached contains a lot of garbage/scrambled text so don't send me that one :}

Ok I'm a bit curious...
I tried this tag edit to try and get rid of some pesky underlines like on the
Bluetooth plugin and the Verizon Shortcut plugin.
No matter where I attach the "background b-borderwidth" whether it be in the
defaults or with the plugin, it kills the home page. The problem seems to be
the space between the words background and b-border. Any suggestions?

just a crazy thought...have you tried to remove the plugin all together to see if they still show up...maybe its the plugin that has it built in....?

Not so crazy... I had pretty much come to the conclusion that some plugins
have a bottom line or underscore or whatever you want to call it built in and
are unremovable such as the standard Bluetooth plugin. This particular plugin
will not respond to transparency or most other tags including the b-border="0"
.. it will only take its color from the "COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT" value in the <scheme>
where as other plugins can take it from the defaults or a tag within the plugin...

But I saw this post and thought maybe this is the answer but it's not working for me..
