Default Need instructions for the Homescreen

Could someone give me some details on how to change the text on the default Sprint homescreen to a larger size. I can't seem to figure it out, or find it on the site.

You will have to go into the XML file to change the font size, look in the home screen threads for a sticky on making home screens and that'll give you a good starting point.

The homescreen i am trying to edit is the default one for sprint. All the info in the Application data file is read only and when i click on it, it only show the "properties". and won't copy or past to the notebad. Sorry about the questions, pretty new to the editing thing.

explore the Q with active sync
then just drag and drop or copy and paste to the PC desktop
then open in notepad

I like your posts and I have been to the Homescreen editing a bunch of times. I'm pretty good editing the XML too, but I still have a weird situation I'm hoping that I can get help with.

Here's the steps I'm going through
1. I create my XML home screen (name.home.xml) - The file does include the *title* tag.
2. I connect to ActiveSync
3. Explore the Q to Application Data\Home
4. Paste in the file.

Everythign seems ok so far.

I go to the Q...
1. Start
2. Settings
3. Home Screen

And, the file that I pasted in does not show as a selection.

What am I missing?

means something in the code is wrong

open the xml up in IE on the PC...the wrong code should show up in RED

I usually try to do whatever I can to avoid opening IE, but that was the ticket!

Thanks so much...it was really starting to drive me nuts.
