My home screens

I just started doing this and I'm using Homescreen Builder because I don't feel like buying programs or whatnot. You guy suggest any other programs to use? This seems alright for basics I guess, I have yet to try anything advanced yet.

My first one here I took this picture of an endoskeleton skull and just messed around. The words highlight red when you go on them, kind of like the battle chassis's eyes glow red. Let me know what you think!




Hopefully I did the zip file right, I don't zip many files, so if it doesn't work - sorry!

Notepad will do just fine...

all WYSIWYG editors are sub-standard imo... they will make basic code, but leave little room to really make something great.

yeah any programs to make HS really suck. they will get you started and about half way to your homescreen but the rest has to be done by xml code editing in notepad like rb said.

Gotcha. For now I'm just satisfied with the basics I guess, once I get really into it, I'll find something to really make some good ones like you guys do.

Here's one I made today! I really like The Joker, including Mark Hamill's voiceover from the animated series in the 90's. Killer laugh! I just happed to find two like photos and said, "bingo!"

For doing something with animation/frames, can I simply load a file that I do in Photoshop with the frames and have it work on the phone? I have a few ideas once I have some time to get some homescreens like my signature for example. Nothing too serious or over the top, but something different would be cool for me to try. With this HS Builder program, I only have a few options for themes and layouts, so it basically comes from the picture I provide to work with.

Well poop on that, how do these guys/gals get the animation in theirs?

Do these other HS progs work w/out me hacking the registry on the phone? I'm not experienced with it and don't feel like hacking it just to get some cool effect that'll I'll change my mind on sooner or later.

What's the best program, this HS Builder program is cool and easy but my options are limited.
