Default I'm new-Sorry! disable appointments?

I'm sure this info has been covered, but I can't seem to find out how to disable my appointments on the homescreen. I know I can choose a simpler screen, but I want the buttons at the top and profile, etc..to remain on the screen. I don't know what marking appts as private or confidential does. They all seem to show up on my home screen regardless. I would love my basic appts to show, just not all of them. Thanks.

if your not using a facade homescreen....you could remove the plugin from the xml file on the Q
the xml file is located in the \application data\home folder...copy it to your desktop...remove the code that starts at <!--calendar plugin--> and end just before the next <!--XXXX--> line and then close the xml file and save it then copy it back to the Q in that same folder and you should be all set

If you want just some of your appointments to show, then you would need to use Facade.

You can Tell Facade, via the Settings program, not to display anything marked Private.

Thank you for all the help. I'm using Facade and Agenda Extreme now to personalize my home screen. After getting hung up with ActiveSync problems, I'm now doing better. I can't wait to learn more technical basics, so that I can benefit from all the amazing info you guys give here.
