How to make small changes on my Homescreen..

I have been trying to edit some of the homescreens and I can do the little things but cant seem to do the bigger things..

For instance, I would like to have the text, email and voicemail on seperate lines instead of it being on the same (ex. SMS 0 Email 0 VMail 0) everytime i put it on a seperate line, it makes the xml unreadable. I also tried putting the messaging plugin 3 times and that also made it undreadable. How can I do this..

Also, how can I add an extra line of space. I deleted the Calander plugin but it brought everything up a line and left an empty space below the MRU which made it look bad.

Im sure Ill have a few others. I did tons of searches on here and even read the tutorial but it didnt seem to help me.. Thanks..

where you deleted a line (plugin) you can add another one, you can to learn all this download custom home screens and see what you like and by trial & error cut 'n paste plugins to you own .xml, it goes without saying that you need to keep a good working copy in case you mess up big time :}

you said you read the tutorial, is that this one ?

also if you have very specific issues, there is always the option to paste it in a post here and lot's of users can help you figure out what...

Yeah, thats what Ive been doing. Trial and Error but Ive not found a code to put an extra space in nor a way to have the email, text and voice mail on separate lines.. Ive tried to do all this without posting on here and just figuring it out myself but I have yet to find a way to do them 2 things..

And Yes, that is the tutorial I read. Its good for creating your own but doesn't really tell you how to mod others.

browse (or should i say struggle) your way through this thread on Qusers and download any thing you like and start digging in the .xml's.

whahahaha... same thing happened to me so i just decided to get something that somewhat close to my wishes and went from there.

I need to find someone that can do this stuff for me and tell them what I want.. My wishes are really really simple, but not common and I just dont see anything on them sights that help....
