Default Homescreen installation

I downloaded a homescreen as a .rar file. I extracted it through winRAR. I put it on my Q and then copied it to /application data/ home. When I go into settings --> homescreen, the home screen I placed into the folder doesn't show up on the list of home screens. What did I do wrong?

There were three files in this rar, but I have had the same problem with other .rar and .zip files with more and less files in them. They never seem to show up under my list of homescreens

verify it has a valid name format: xxxx.home.xml first is just the name, not that relevant... but .home.xml is essential..
