Default Help Wanted

Wondered if any of the estemed Homescreen creators on this site would be willing to work with me on creating a homescreen that includes the Facade & Photo Contacts Pro plugin.

I've been using the standard homescreen but it really doesn't look very cool!

I know I've asked before without any success but was hoping that someone have a little free time now to work on this.

Thanks in advance.

Craig

Well, I was thinking about something like this:-

But replacing the Texas style with one for Oklahoma State and then replacing the quick launch bar with the Photo Contacts Pro plugin. I presume this uses facade does it? as I wouldn't mind being able to view both my appointments and tasks on the homescreen.

Also I would need the default Profile plugin as the Photo Contacts Pro plugin provides one by default!

That's not a lot to ask is it!

I've done something similar with only Facade. I don't have Photo Contacts Pro, and don't really have a use for it, so I adapted Facade.

The portions with the names are actually images. It'd be considerably more manual work during the creation of the screen, but still doable. Each names is a connection to a phone number. Dials right from the homescreen.

This is at least one possibility for you.

I'm not saying this is the screen layout for you, but rather that the dialer sectino can easily be added to any facade tab, provided you already have the images.

Maybe I'm looking at this a bit too simplistically. This is the homescreen I'm currently using:-

The bit highlighted in red is the Photo Contacts Pro plugin and as far as I can tell this is the code in the XML that produces it:-

<plugin clsid="{3194FA31-4BCF-4d8c-992E-C02D556BF4D4}" name="pcfavorites">
</plugin>
<plugin clsid="{5308DC61-DB1C-4f44-A8D3-D287A6B501BB}" name="pcrecentcalls">
</plugin>
<plugin clsid="{4B67D0A6-41A1-415b-95BD-5C687A67E0A0}" name="photocontacts">
</plugin>
<plugin clsid="{21A1F379-9448-450b-A8BE-E05EE4C1EC70}" name="pcprofile">
</plugin>

So I guess I was kinda hoping that someone could just produce a cool OSU homescreen and use that code. Is it that simple?

I you can post up the XML file in a zip, there are a few designers that can work on it. If I had that, I could likely put one together that would re-use you existing screen with a new background.

Is that what you meant?

Not meaning to be fussy/pushy but I don't necessarily want the home screen to be excately like that as I don't know what's customization is available with Facade but the only things I want to be able to see/flip between are my appointments and tasks, no need for the quick launch items as I don't mind pressing my Start button to access those, and it will free up some screen space!

Appreciate you help on this.

Craig

well, I don't know of a way to put the Photo Contacts Pro, into facade, but I can see what workaround I can produce. It'll not be anything fancy, and fully based off the screenshot from above.

I've pulled off small miracles before though.

I appreciate your time on this and having seen your work before I will try to keep my excitement to a minimum as your previous work has been great.
