Question for Der Alta.. or Eko

people... i have Paint Shop Pro & PhotoBruch (both regged/paid for) do you use any of these, i wanna know how to make a what i call a "ghost" image on the background of a .jpg.. it is not called a watermark right ? is it done by transparency ?

i dont use either one, but with photoshop you do it with transparency

I use Photoshop, so I'm not sure how you'd do it in other programs. If you want to email me the two images, I'd be more than happy to take a few moments and whip it up.

mister i_don't_need_the_cd_that_came_with_my_Canon_camera (read me :} just learned from a dude here (at work) that PhotoShop comes with all Canon cameras so i will check it out tonight...

well... i checked my Canon cd's and not Photoshop on either one... thinking about downloading the trial, what version do you guys/girls use ? CS3 or CS3 Extended ?

I doubt that Canon ships Photoshop (Adobe's professional photo editing program that costs major money), although they might ship Photoshop Eleements (Adobe's consumer photo editing program). I know that I got Photo Deluxe (Adobe's older photo program) with one of my digital cameras (either a Kodak or a Canon).

i was just repeating what a dude told me, and as far as i can tell he was wrong... i do believe that i once had a free version, but that is many many moons ago before software got so expensive..

downloaded the CS3 Extended, trial for 30 days and i knew i had something somewhere, i found PhotoShop version 5.0, not sure how old that is but if it does what i want ("ghost"/transparent backgrounds) i'm fine..

That's one of those pieces of software my better half and I can't live without.
