| messed with it again, but no dice... i mean it doesn't work, tried both putting in the Windows directory and the Windows\Fonts directory.

| *update* fyi: i said earlier that i thought this didn't work... so i left the .xml unchanged with a different font, at some point i had to soft reset/power down the Q.. and after i reboot it applied the font. so you can use a different font for the home screen, but make sure to power doen and powre up the Q so it will be applied.

| be picky when you choose a font, one of my favorite fonts on the pc (courier new) does not look all that great on the Q :}
