Ekos Homescreens

Is it possible to have the source files (photoshop??) of the backgrounds of your Flip theme, please? I'd like to make a Boston Celtics theme using it, but because I can use photoshop a little, I don't want to waste your time and do it by myself. But I don't want to make it from the beginning.

I currently dont just give away my source files. I am pretty anal retentive about my home screen quality, I like having control over what types of homescreens my name is associated with, and although I may approve of the celtics there are other things that I may not want my templates used on and once they leave me I have no control over what people do with them. I have no problem if you want to recreate the graphics yourself and use the code (leaving some sort of comment based off of ekos ekoflip design you can view her work and then give my web address)

yeah just change teh name of the file in the xml. remember on like the konata one that the forground "interface image" wont stay so you would have to recreate that to make it work so that you can just switch out the image. If you want to email me pictures and give me a layout I would be happy to send back your image with the "interface" image on top, and then you can just replace the name in the xml and go with it. I'm considering a donation, but I'm not sure if what I want can even be done, so I'll describe it first and if you say it's possible I'll donate and get this thing started. First of all, here is my current homescreen:



I started with your "iphone" design with facade.


Then I moved some things around a bit. Elecont Weather up to the top so when I go to my homescreen it is selected. I'd like the text to be white though, right now it only goes white when it's unselected.

Next, I'd like the facade launcher instead of the MRU.

I'd like the message counter from your "darkVista" in the iconbar (i have orange) keeping the icon bar transparent, though, and NONselectable. I like the black softkeys from your homescreen designs. I'm not sure how I got black softkeys without the divider line.




I'd like missed calls (either alert or separate screen).

I like just the facade calendar as shown in my homescreen with no tabs, they take up too much room and I don't use tasks often.

I like the shading aspect of the clock in "iphone", but I'm not sure if I can have that because ultimately I'd like the background on this to be totally transparent so that I can use any wallpaper behind it and still have my layout stay the same.

Finally, it needs to be in a CAB file because my Q9h doesn't allow me to move .xml files to my home directory, but a CAB will install just fine.

I know this won't be too much of a creative exercise for you since I've been really specific about it, but it's what I really want. Do you think it can be done?

I still havnt downloaded elencot to play with it. If you can email me the homescreen you are currently using to my email address ekopapers at gmail.com I can look at the way they have the plugin set up as far as color selection goes. The way I did the little icons for the messaging is done with graphics so if you switched background images you would lose the icons but the numbers would remain. If you want you can send me like 20 wallpapers and I can add that as well as the faded bar for the time area to them and then you can just switch around once you get the layout you like. Adding those sorts of things to images doesnt take a long time, setting up the xml file for each image is what takes a long time, but since you are using facade you dont need an xml for each image as you already know Also with the message icons I am not sure how to make them non selectable so would it be a problem if they were selectable?

I can deffinatly make it into a cab to install it thats not a problem.

That's really close, Ellie. You definitely got the gist of it. That looks awesome! Elecont comes up in the facade plugin list, that's how I got it to the top of the screen on my homescreen, so I don't know how much you'll have to play with it. Of course, the text coloring may be within Elecont and I don't know if you can get in there to change text color. If you do load Elecont, at least through facade, you'll see why I want the weather at the top as the default...I can scroll right and left through days and/or cities weather info, and when focus is taken away, a banner comes up over the info, so that's why I didn't want the messaging icons selectable...because then the weather would not be the default selection.

I thought maybe it'd be possible to create the messaging icons and the clock shading as some sort of overlay layer that would then allow wallpapers to be changed out behind it...am I confusing you, or do you know what I'm getting at? I don't have mad PS skills, so I'm not sure what's involved with the layering idea.

Other than that, it's little stuff like the proper softkey colors, and the facade launcher (which is missing in my facade options for this homescreen for some strange reason!?) and it'd be perfect. I just don't think putting the icons and faded bar on several homescreens would work long-term for me because I like to change them a lot.

I know if anyone can pull it off, you can...that's why I wondered if it was even possible!

I'll email you the homescreen .xml and see if that helps at all! I hope it can be done!!

I will see what I can do with it, I cant hard code image layers in but I can just do it for you. if its something you really like I can be hired to do a set number of wallpapers for very cheap and you could just have a running total. like 30 wallpapers for 10 bucks or somethign like that, if there is a layout you really like. I will try and download elencott and check out there trial. Deffinatly send me your xml too though
