Ekos Homescreens

Eko,

Your card wheel designs are awesome. How about using it to create a version of the bubble/magnifier style Windows Mobile 6.1 homescreen for all us WM 5/6 guys who won't be able to upgrade?

I think it would adapt nicely.

eko..ur homescreens are SICK! I just had to share that...everytime i look thru i'm like damn, i dont even kno wat i want!

question: I'm a photoshopper, so i'd like to have some of ur layouts and throw my own image in the background. How do i just change the background image and keep the layout?

for example: the ichigo/konata layout or the daniel craig/007 styled layout with just my own different pic in the back.

download the file(s)... and change the background image in the .xml file, that is if Eko agrees with you using the layouts she made.

o yea, i didnt even think of that..will do, whenever i do it that is...i can b lazy. good thing i dont have one of my own homescreen threads

yeah just change teh name of the file in the xml. remember on like the konata one that the forground "interface image" wont stay so you would have to recreate that to make it work so that you can just switch out the image. If you want to email me pictures and give me a layout I would be happy to send back your image with the "interface" image on top, and then you can just replace the name in the xml and go with it. You will also want to change the title of the homescreen so that you can have multiple ones. If you actually rename the file, homescreen files have to be filesname.home.xml if yo uleave the .home out it will not see it Also if you use my code please comment out something like coding done by eko she can be reached at www.ekopapers.com or something along those lines, if yo are going to change the author name

the problem is that you can only have 1 selectable plugin on the screen at 1 time, and it has to be the first plugin on the screen. so you wouldnt be able to see like your message count like in the pictures when looking at a different plugin. I think you could do something with the side scroll using the orange plugin with some of the cardwheel themes. I just dont have the time to create it right now

Aye, I was looking at the last page where you have the phones profile, and it just appears to me that there's an awful lot of room not being used. I'll play around with it ( I'm no coder by any means, but I can copy what I see. ) and see if I can get it to work. ThanQ for the reply.

I managed to insert the Fizz plugin in place of the icon bar on the profile page, which works in the sense that I can see the weather, but I can't get it to sit in the square that the profile is in. I searched a while on the Fizz forums and as of 2007 there was limited support in terms of customizing the plugins width and height. So, for now I guess, i'll have to deal with it as is ( see the attached screenshot. ). But, once again, thanQ for an excellent homescreen.

yeah thats what I was trying to say that you couldnt tell it where to sit left to right, you are stuck with where they want that.

Also that is exactly where I was saying it would work to insert it. on the last page you seem to be able to add as many selectable plugins as you want.
