Default Creating a Custom Home Screen??

I have a Motorola Q and I would like to change the existing default home screens and add a few icons to it and customize it. What I want to do is as follows:

1)On the default homescreen where the News and Get apps tabs are I would like to remove those and add in it’s place a calculator tab and a missed calls tab
2)I would like to add a line for additional calendar appointments for maybe 2 days total
3)I would like to add a line for a quick way to list out my speed dial numbers (it is an icon at the top now but I want tot make it a line item)
4)Remove the Home Service on the main screen and insert my name

Can this be done?

I am willing to pay someone for this assistance.

I just moved from a Treo over to Q last week. I am using Verizon and I just use the default one that came with the Q.

all you need to do know is move the xml file and any image files to the \application data\home folder on your Q
if any of the image files unzipped into a folder make sure you keep them in that folder when you transfer them over

My question is pretty much the same, and I have even played around in the xml land for a bit (and suck horribly at it). For some reason I was able to change my sprint layout to red and black and put in the wallpaper I want. Now my question is, I need to put a tasks section on my home screen. I also would like my calendar to display appointments for up to 2 weeks. (I have facade but really screwed the pooch when trying to use that within my pathetic .xml attempt). I also wouldn't mind a voicemail message next within the line where Email and Text Messages are displayed. If anyone can direct me in the right direction or help me with soem code I would be GREATLY appreciative.

Need Help

without Facade (or Oxio tasks: http://www.oxios.com/plugins/) you can not display tasks. why not download a home screen that comes close to your personal wishes and tweak it to your likings ? that's what i did.. there is plenty to choose from:

http://www.kooldezine.com/Q.htm
http://www.qusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2184

oh, and there are samples on the Facade web site (plus it comes w/ a few screens i believe)

and for some home screen.xml help:
