Default Changing Home Screen Icons and XML

newbie here... I have a custom home screen here with icons that 'point' to something that I don't have on my phone (Blackjack... dont bash me). For instance, notes, backlight, & bluetooth. I'm trying to figure out how to point to the correct .lnk, but have yet to do it.

I guess I need to know what I need to change in the .xml to for these items and what folder I need to look at to find the correct link to the program.

tough to understand. sorry. But if you CAN make sense, please help.

Thanks!

you kinda answered your own question there...you need to edit the xml file and find where the files are being linked to and then point them to the shortcuts that you want to use....

So your homescreen shows links to programs that you don't have installed? Are you looking to download the programs so that the links will be valid or remove the links from your homescreen?

I have the programs, at least a notepad type program & bluetooth, but I am not sure about the backlight???? I just want to link the icon to the correct program. The home sreen is made for the q, so I don't have the exact same programs, which I'm sure you know...

I understand the question better now that I know that a blackjack is a phone...blonde moment.

I have no idea of the file structure on that thing.

ok, I guess I don't even know how to exactly edit the XML file. when I open up the folder the CAB file is in on the phone, the XML file is there. But, if I open it up on the PC, edit it, and send it back to the phone, do I need to install anything again? Or will it just recognize the changes? Thanks for the help.
