Default Carbon Fiber w/ Fizz Question

So I downloaded the great-looking home screen from kooldezine's site. After some trial and error, I got it onto my Q, but I couldn't select it as my "home screen layout" I could only select it as the "background image."

My primary problem is that my home screen doesn't really look like the one on kooldezine's site--my task icons are much larger than what are shown on the site, plus they're on the top of the screen, not the bottom. The rest of the screen doesn't line up properly either, and the fizz weather images don't appear in the upper middle screen. Any ideas? thanks

I had that problem as well, I just assumed it was because the screens weren't landscape and just started making my own. never really looked into the source of the problem.

thanks. I'm not sure I have the time or tech savvy to do that though, so I was hoping there was some sort of fix.

So far any that I have downloaded from the forums here has worked. It just seems to be ones from kooldezine's site that don't cooperate with my Q.

interesting...im using that screen
make sure everything is set to default and you copy the images to the \application data\home folder IN the folder it unzips to...
so make sure you have to leave the jpegs in the seperate folder but put them in the \application data home foldr

My settings are currently "Fizz Weather" for home screen, default for color scheme, and Carbon Fiber for background image. I could only select Carbon Fiber for background image by going into the application data/home folder, clicking on the carbon fiber jpg, and using the right soft key to select "use as home screen." Seems weird that it then doesn't show up as home screen but as background image.

Inside \Application Data\Home you should have a folder called CarbonFiber Tabs. Inside that folder will be all the .jpg's for the homescreen. The XML file will not be in the same folder it will be in \Application data\Home. You then should set your Home screen layout to Carbon Fider Tabs and everything else to default. Also inside Fizz you should have your homescreen set to Large 5 day. Do you have Facade?

YAHTZEE! Thanks for the advice. Between you and the n99hockey, I figured it out. I had copied the carbonfiberfizz folder into application data/home, but had not copied the contents of that folder into the application data/home as individual files. Does that make sense? According to my understanding of what you write above, does just the .xml file need to be located in application data/home?

<edited to add: I don't have facade, but I don't believe this download requires it. I'm thinking about getting it though, seems like a useful app.>

I use the Facade version which requires just the xml file to be in application data/home and then all the other jpgs in a seperate folder called carbonfibertabs within application data/home. If you open up the xml file you will see that the <background image> is stored in \application data\home\carbonfibertabs\.
