Black Soft Keys - Motorola Q Forum

This is driving me nuts. I am trying to make my soft keys BLACK.. the #000000 code just makes them grey. Easy way to make them solid black without a hue program cab or hacking the registry???

use the cab program...it will save you headaches and you can use it in any homescreen you want without having to change the code

Hi Scott...Can you tell me where to find the cab program? Is it pretty self-explanatory? I am also trying to make my soft keys black.

i thought it was in THIS thread here...
but if not you can send me a PM i think i have it at home or i can post it up here later

its a cab file just load it to your Q and run it from the file manager

I don't see the file...if you can post it I'd very much appreciate it. BTW, I'm a newbie, so if you could direct me to info on where on my Q to load the cab file I'd appreciate that, too.

here it is, copy it to the Q, browse to it with the File Manager, and execute the file, it will self-install.

yep, you should... i must admit i have it easy since i take my laltop home every night and pretty much everything is on it so regardless of where i am i have it.
