Default Battery Gauge

I am trying to find a good battery gauge for my Homescreen. I have tried xBar, FizzMonitor, Facade, Resco and a few others.

FizzMonitor seems to have the graphics I am looking for, however it continually states the battery is at 100%.

Anyone know of other good battery and memory usage tools?

thanks

What was wrong using Facade? You can also display the percentate using Facade.

Another solution would be Smartmonitor, but make sure to use version 0.9.5.1, since 0.9.6.0 cause lock-ups on the Q.

Well perhaps it is me or my phone, but all these continue to show my battery usage at 100%.... I thought it was just Fizz that was in error, but I just installed SmartMonitor and it shows 100%.

To answer the first question that will come up, no my phone is not plugged in and has not been all day. However the battery monitor on these plug ins show 100%. However when I go into Setting->Power Management it shows my battery at about 80%. I have heard some of these tools only work in 25, 50 and 75% increments. However these do not seem to be updated in real time.

Facade and Smartmonitor do not count to those.

Not sure what is causing that issue then...

I just installed SmartMonitor and it shows 100% as well.

Must be something with my phone. I don't know.

You would think just seeing how much battery you had left would be a simple task.

oh well.

Check out Facade XML Reference Guide the which can be found here:

Don't wanna mention too much here, so we don't go too off topic. Any questions on that are better posted on SBSH forums.

Yes I read the PDF from start to end the battery gauge is always a bar graph ?

I do not think it is too much ask for or that much off topic the question is about Battery Gauge. Somebody said Facade will give a percentage an I think that is wrong.

The way I see it Facade does not change the battery icon at all you need a 3rd party plug in.

I have not have any luck for example Resco System tools says my battery is always at 100% when the standard Microsoft battery gauge says in is weak.

My 2 cents.... I think this is a Windows 6 vs Windows 5 thing.

I hope in the next few months updates to existing Windows Mobile 5 programs will give me more options.

SmartToolkit has a battery monitor built in.
It shows a percentage as well as a meter, its accurate unless your phone is charging, but you dont need to worry at that point do you?

I somehow remember that Facade shows the percentage next to the meter if the meter got more width. Just try adding w="xx" to a battery meter button. Also, textX and textY should allow positioning of the percentage then.

Could be totally off target now also ...

The meters all work correct for me. I'd say that's another issue of the Q. It uses another system to detect the battery level, so 3rd party plugins (Facade already is one BTW) are having trouble finding the right battery status.

You see what I mean? The battery display doesn't work with ANY program on the Q. The Q uses a different system I guess.

Where is WM6 joining that issue now? I always thought the Q was on WM5. Or are you using one of the new Q's like the Q9h?

There aren't any issues with WM5 programs and WM6 devices as far as I've seen (using a HTC Vox myself) - apart from the Q (again)...
