i have facade and orange. i tried installing smartmonitor and my phone was crashing left and right so i uninstalled. but even without editing the xml (with the smartmonitor tag instead of the iconbar) it didnt work. did the same thing. is it not working cause of smartmonitor?

It's not working b/c of smartmonitor. Some phones can use it without issues and others can't. Been waiting for an update but haven't heard anything about it lately. Would like to try it out again but I know my phone locks up with the current version.

Smartmonitor 0.9.6 does lock up the phone. Smartmonitor 0.9.5.1 found on Rudeboy's app page is more stable and has been used by many people here w/o problems. Just find a post by Rudeboy (look above) and at the bottom in his signature u will see "My Apps". It is 2/3rds the way down the page called smartmonitor plugin. Install that & u should be fine.

Please don't hesitate to try to use smartmonitor 0.9.5.1, even though Geeksters Q locks up. Her phone locks up as much as Sarah Palin says "Maverick".

this worked beautifully! i can see the battery and the reception bar now. thanks for all your help.

Yeah-it does with each new change I try to do. It is "quirky" little phone to say the least.
