Default Add Missed Calls to the MessageCount Plugin?

Is there any way to add the missed calls to the message count? I have my Email, SMS, and Voicemail all on the message count line, and want to get my missed calls on there too. I have done quite a bit of searching, and haven't been able to find any homescreens or code that would add it to the messagecount plugin. I know I can probably get something working with the orange plugin, but though I'd see if there's any easy way to do it first.

Easiest way to do that is with phoneAlarm.

I've had PA installed on all my PPC Phones. I like the program, but eventually end up having to hard reset and reinstall everything because of it. I'm fine with that for a PPC, but the Smartphone already has most of the functions that I use in PA built-in, so I don't really need it. I've started trying the orange plugin, and have it almost perfect. I just need to figure out how to get the () around the number like the messaging plugin has, and see if I can get it to go left a little, and try to get a , after the Voicemail number like the rest of the messaging plugin so it looks like it's part of the line. I'm going to keep working on it, but would love it if someone knows how to do any of those things.

have you tried something like this in the missed calls plug-in?
<text> Missed calls: (<calls/>) </text>

That does it, but for some odd reason it doesn't show the 0 anymore (even if I remove the () from it). Very strange. Getting very close though. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I just need to get a , after VM, somehow condense them closer together so it appears to be one continuous line, and figure out why that 0 disappeared.

Edit: I don't know what caused the 0 to disappear, but calling and creating a missed call brought it back. Getting closer. I can't seem to place a , after the VM though. Anywhere I place it in the plugin puts it before the number. I also wish there was some way to reduce the buffer between the two plugins. If I try to bring the Missed calls text any closer to the VM, it will cover up the VM number, with the background of the other plugin. Is there any way to get the Missed calls to be at the very edge of the plugin line instead of having that space?

Here's the xml. I've almost got it to the point that I'm satisfied, but not quite yet. I'm very anal about my homescreens. If I can't get it perfect, I'll have to resort to removing it. Every time I power cycle the phone I have to open my call history in order to get the 0 back though. Not sure why.

Edit again: I don't want to keep posting new replies to my own topic when I've got something changed, but I had some ideas that paid off. I got exactly what I was looking for. Now the only problem I have is the power cycle clearing the 0 until I either miss a call or go to call history. I just get a () with no number. I doubt I'll be able to fix that, so the rare occasion I actually reboot I'll just open missed calls. I attached the xml in case anyone wants to extract the plugin for their own use.

Well, I got it to look exactly how I wanted it. But now the messagecount doesn't update on the homescreen when I receive a message unless I highlight the plugin line. I'm going to try changing it from CHILD to FOCUS and see if it still does it. If it does I'll just have to remove it. There's no point in having a messagecount plugin if it doesn't count the messages.
