I've had that trouble too. Haven't seen if the new version does it or not yet. Would be nice if there was a menu button with more options.

As we previously mentioned, pressing Dismiss or Dismiss All properly clears a PopUp. Pressing Home does nothing, eventually the PopUps will return. This was done by design.

We may add an option to treat Home key as Dismiss with a PopUp in the foreground.

Also, when the phone is in a locked state and a PopUp appears, you must hit * after pressing te right soft key in order to unlock the keyboard first before Messaging or Voice Mail launches.

We have tested this extensively with many devices and when the PopUps are properly Dismissed, there is no key lock delay.

it works fine. sometimes when doing stuff on the phone, we are hitting keys and the pop up comes and it is the wrong key. this is where the problem comes in play.

I have it set to *not* pop up for text messages, but it still pops when texts come in. Slightly annoying but I guess I can live with it.
