| We want the napolean! But will settle for anything... Ok this is the thread for us that want to discuss the napolean but also want to discuss various other offerings on the horizon from verizon including the i770, palm 800w, and storm.
Instead of upsetting those people who have notifications of the napolean thread we have been talking in, we can discuss things here instead. |

| and what the heck, dont forget about the Samsung Omnia i910 too! Quite honestly, Moto really needs to release a new and hot Q variant on us to keep us all in the Q family. My Q's (both the old Q and Q9m) have been rock solid reliable for me and you cant knock Moto's call quality but it is time for something new. Now it looks like Moto is putting a lot of time, effort, and cash into the Android platform with their so-called "social phone" but please, please dont forget the WinMo platform! OK, the Napolean would be nice and all, but why not something like the i770 with a full exposed qwerty and a touchscreen??? I personally am ready to have a touchscreen again but I am not sure I can live without a real qwerty.

| Here is an article about the Moto Android phone: http://www.businessweek.com/technolo...s+%2B+analysis
and a quote:
"Like the world's first Android phone, from HTC, Motorola's Android-based device will offer a slide-out Qwerty keyboard. People who've seen the pictures and spec sheets for the device say it looks like a higher-end version of the HTC phone, called the T-Mobile G1. But it's expected to sell for less, at prices similar to the Krave, which is available for $150 with a two-year contract. After carrier subsidies, the G1 will retail for $180 with a two-year contract"
So obviously, Moto can make a qwerty and touchscreen phone!

| Well, this is the first that I've heard of the Napolean. A quick google search and 30 seconds of reading and I won't be purchasing that one. Reason #1: 2 megapixel camera. Reason #2: It's nothing more than a world wide upgrade.
I'm currenlty very happy with my Original Q, with the exception of the Camera. I have no use for a phone that can travel the world. So, my wait continues. And if this is the next option for a Q, I'll until my contract expires, and then I can select from any carrier and phone.
I am very happy with Verizon, so I'll likely stay with them. Which means, I'm narrowed down to two phones unless something new and exciting comes out in February (when I'm free of my contract). The first phone I've looked at is the LG Dare. It's a nice keyboard and does email ($20 a month, unlimted), with a 3+ megapixel camera. THe Phone I'm waiting on is the BB Storm. It's got the full package, and the right camera. My only hesitations are the price and the size. If its too big, it'll deter me to the Dare, If it's outrageously expensive, I'll go with the Dare.
Unless a Q-ish phone comes out with a new version of WM.

| ditto...
happy with my Q1. It's been beaten up pretty decent and aside from a bad "u" button it works great. Untill something comes out with some MAJOR upgrades to the camera and interals, I wil stick with what I got.
If we keep flocking to the latest mediocer(sp) crap the manufactures will just keep pumping them out instead of offering something spectacular and/or worth the $ they ask.

| yeah i agrree, the storm looks sweet. i kinda really want it bad.
i dont know though, i have never used a blackberry device.
anyone have experience using it with exchange server? i hear there is a one license free server program instead of like thousands for their enterprise server..
but i really dont want to give up skyfire.... its one of the only reasons i am considering the i770 or 800w instead.
(and exchange native support) |

| I'm also waiting for the storm. My NE2 comes up beginning of Jan. Unless moo comes out with something new and awesome I'll prolly be forced to switch. I love the Q, but I really feel limited when I'm searching for software, so much relies on a touch screen. |
