Default The British Are Coming

Since I moved to the a little over a year ago I've seen a steady increase in the number of faces from British TV that I'm now seeing over here.

Here are a few that I've seen:-

Name: Show
Eddie Izzard: The Riches
Michelle Ryan: The Bionic Woman
The woman that used to be with Ant and Dec: Some reality show!
Anna Friel: Pushing Daisies
The guy that used to be a Blue Peter presenter: Phenomenon
Hugh Laurie: House

Do you think any of these shows/actors would be accepted into the American TV viewing public hearts if they could see the work they'd already done on British TV!

I do like it though, it makes me feel a little closer to the UK, I almost said home then but the US is home now!

A world away from House, Stephen Fry has traveled too far with QI though, love that show too.

Are there re-runs? It was great how they set each other up week after week and some of their routines were so (being from a Texas family since 1829 I can only think of one word) dry, to be so funny, so very incrediblely funny.

Thanks for the memories...

Eddie Izzard has already been in numerous US based movies. I've got a handful of his standup on DVD and have to note that he is one funny guy.

I've seen Eddie 3 times live when I was back in the UK, his standup is the best around.

Eddie Izzard is hilarious and a great actor. I first saw his stand up years ago on TV.
