re-direct on firefox

when i'm on yahoo.com or some other site that links out i am re-directed to a site that has nothing to do with what the original site. it takes me to www.quicklex.com and that is not what i want. can anyone help me fix this?

I have to ask a very elemental question. Are you asking about your phone? Or are you asking about your computer? If it's computer then what OS are you using?
Lets do phone: clean the cache, cookies, temp files, etc. but I don't know where to tell you to look b/c I don't use it. Maybe someone will jump in here and tell us. Get SkTools and clean your phone of "stuff". Maybe delete FireFox from your phone, use SKTools again to clean the phone again, and re-install FireFox. shut off the phone and take battery out for a few minutes and put it back in, just for fun. SpyBot-S&D is a free mobile spyware checker. Maybe try that? I don't know how good it is, tho. I just use it for "shit and giggles*. Hope I have gotten you started in the right direction.

Didn't think so but when I did a forum search it looked like "they" were working on it @ 1 time and that's as far as I read. Thought maybe it was out by now. Hey, I did click the search button. Do I still get points for that? (Plus me in a hurry to get to shower! Did a sh*t job today! *shiver*)
@ OP, ok, let's talk computer.
It sounds like your browser has been hijacked. I haven't used FireFox for years so I really can't tell you what programs to use but maybe some I do include here will be a "cross platform performers". Try to use your IE 6/7 (or go a friends house with a flash drive) to download, install, and update Lavasoft Adaware (Free), Spybot Search & Destroy (Free), and SpyWare Doctor from PCTools (Free-Very Good), Ewido Anti-Spyware From AVG Anti-Virus. (w/c is excellent but 30 day trial). There are also some very good on-line anti-virus scanners (free), Panda, Norton, and Avg., etc. I like "free" stuff!
So, now that you know I don't know "jack" about smart phones (or at least the ''browsers" they use), let's just hope this will get you started in getting your browser back, just got to keep plugging away. You will find something to fix it. Report back with results, ok? Good Luck

Keep us posted, ok? I tried taking you on a road that you can do but if things fail then you are going to have to jump up to "HIJACK THIS" which is a very good program and tons of supporters online.
