 |  AntiVirus Fix Can I make a suggestion to EVERYONE who thinks they are infected? Download the latest virus definition of whatever anti-virus program you are using. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AND PUT IT IN SAFE MODE! Run your anti-virus from safe mode. This is important to reduce the chance of re-infection! Antivirus software has problems cleaning files that are already in use. When you are in SafeMode you have the LEAST number of drivers active and that helps your anti virus software do it's job better. SAFE MODE: Windows Button (lower left hand corner of your screen), then restart. Will say "Windows is Shutting Down." When screen turns black START PRESSING THE F8 KEY REPEATEDLY. Don't hurt your finger!  Screen that comes up will give you options to load windows. Load it in SafeMode with NO NETWORKING. Make sure you have administrative privileges and sign in. Run your anti virus program. Don't try to go online, don't do a search, just run the dang program. This is NOT guaranteed to work but it IS guaranteed to do a better job then running your anti virus from full mode. OH... same thing works when cleaning up ALL files (say using erasure or ccleaner for example.)

 | o god ... it seems that the polipos virus delted my system restore 2 and my computer just crashed a week ago... so now every time to tr to reboot my computer i get errors and my coputer tells me i have corrupted system 32 files when starting up and get this Mode not Supported screen when booting up. any 1 know how can i reboot my computer if my files are damaged thanx |

| You will either have to gobuy a windows disk & try to do the repair yourself or you will have to take it into a PC repair shop to get it repaired & you have to own a windows CD to take with you before they will fix it. Or more than likely they can sell you an OS there & after the repair let you take the disk home. That's my gripe about name brand PC's. As many copies that they sell on each & every machine, it would not cost them that much to include an OS CD with the PC's. Those are the only 2 legal ways that I see that will fix your PC. Sorry about your PC, bobby-n.
