Outlook.PST issue

out of the blue a user here has all kinds of issue's with Outlook... the file itself in on a W2000 server and it worked until this morning and it still works for all my other users.. ran scanpst.exe on it, which supposedly fixed some things but no help. not at that pc right at this time but when i try to open the .pst file i am not allowed, created a new .pst as a test and that has similar issue's plus Outlook "says" that it is impossible to show messages in the preview pane.

this is the user that has the biggest Outlook.PST, oh.. archiving does not work either. i will post more error codes a little later.

Is it near 2G? Even though they eliminated the 2G limit finally its still not very stable when it gets that big.

nope... it's a bit over 900Mb, and it keeps giving vague save errors.

try making a new profile then open it to make sure its not a problems there. I've had the registry entry for a pst get duplicated and mess things up.

the .pst files are still one of the biggest problems with outlook.

Someone at work has a 3g pst file, not on an exchange server and can't seem to get it up and running on another machine. It created duplicate contact entries and also was missing emails from the 2005-June 2007.
I really don't like pst files.

here's the thing, the pc is in a domain and the "Mail" option has disappeared.. last week on a different pc i created profiles for mail, joined the domain and the mail option was gone also.

not a big fan of the .pst file but you know, its' all i got for now :]
