When my wife and I upgraded last year, me to the Q and my wife to a KRZR we were left with a Kyocera Strobe and a Motorola E815 to get rid off.
Well leaving them in a draw didn't get rid of them so I was wondering what options I had. They are both on Alltel and neither have sim cards. They are both still boxed with all the manuals I'd just feel bad throwing them in the trash and would like to make a little bit of money on them if that's possible.
That is always an option although with the phones not having accessible sim cards I can't imaging they'd have much value. I agree that is where I'll probably end up though.
Alltel will donate them to ppl/organizations in need. Many older ppl need the phones that they can carry around for 911 w/c is free. Alltel will do this. I take my old phones in to local store and I usually get a thank you card for donating the phones. Lions Club will take used phones, again, for 911 for the ppl they help.
Donating to help someone is priceless.
Even if you give them to older neighbors w/c can be activated is helping, too. Just don't throw them away!!!
Just MHO. *And my 2 cents*
