if possible find a good workout buddy. Think she lost like 60lbs last time. Not for sure, as those numbers are "top secret" :-)

Good luck in your quest! I'll join your cheering section!
I'll take all the company I can get!! And I know what you mean about the Diet Coke. I weaned myself off of Mt. Dew the last time I lost weight but now have replaced it with Diet Coke not to the extent that I drank the Mt. Dew but a habit I'm gonna have to kick to get where I want to be.

Plus having additional muscle helps the pounds drop. Maybe some day i will share some old fotos. No I cant and wont get buff like a dude...lol.

Go for it THR! you have support here!
The Firm incorporates weights as well as cardio to really get your heart rate up there and create muscle. Once I get started I really enjoy the challenge of the workout and I really enjoy seeing the results!!
I have a special tattoo in mind for my stomach when I get to slimmed down so that is a reward to myself plus the added health benefits. Gotta be around to enjoy that new grandbaby due any day now!

THR, congrats on the grandbaby....
I'll join your quest for weight loss...got out of the habit over the holidays, but getting back into it now...when i got back from basic i weighed 168, down from 205....so i know i can do it, i just want the nice abs back...gained almost 20 lbs, but with my body type, its very hard to loose weight...like you, i have a tat idea for the stomach (im almost as addicted to tats as this site).
plus after getting dumped, gotta try and look good again so i can find something cute to have fun with (school is back in session) before moving...

* sigh * I too need to work out, weight was never the issue for me. Only time I was over 160 was with a ruck sack and full combat gear :-/ At one point could run 8+ miles and not be tired..push ups/ sit ups.they got tired counting before i stopped... benched 280..etc Still in fair shape, but no where near where I was..just too much like work :-)

Gotta chime in on the caffiene. Especially for the ladies. Caffiene tends to stress the body into producing cortisol which can lead to fatty deposits especially in the abdominal area.

Hey THR! congratulations on the grand baby on the way!

Well the tatoo is motivating for ya!

I know of the firm I have the dvd but those things just dont do it for me. One dvd I really like is a core work out with a stability ball. seemed to have misplaced it though.

If you want lady abs reducing (not emiminating) carbs and fats is essential.....unless u have really good genes. Dont forget your multi vitamin....lol

Geekster I had a cesarean 6 years ago and we (me and the baby) got very sick. I have yet to bounce back completely from that. Google HELLP SYNDROME never heard of it back then. Never would wish that on anyone.
