This is the Access next gen OS, but not the real deal. The Nova OS, also known as Palm OS 2.0 is being finished up by Palm. They are scheduled to complete it by the end of this year. I had a meeting with Palm a few weeks ago and they are very excited about the OS. They are really striving to make a mobile OS that works the way a user expects the OS to work. From what I got, they are going through every detail of the OS to bring a truly excellent user experience. Of course, this could all be hyperbole. Palm has promised a next gen OS for years. Do they really mean it this time around? Who knows, but the clock is certainly ticking.
Interesting. I'm glad to see that companies are revamping their OSes. It has been a while since real changes have been made. With WM7, Android, and now these versions of Palm OS, the overall quality of smartphones will surely go up.
I think it just depends on what you want to do with your device. I like the um..customizable aspect of WM. Palm is great at what it is designed to do, just kinda boring...IMO
