M$ Word & html

okay... here's the thing, a less pc knowledgeable person needs to create web pages that i include on their web site, they are M$ Word documents so i figured that's easy.. export to html, well the document is 3 rows with 2 columns, 6 pictures + text underneath. when exported to html it looks like crap and not at all to what the original looks like. i am not in the mood -nor do i have time- to teach this person html.. anybody any idea how to go about this in an easy, quick and painless manner ?

'save as website' under file menu?

I'm guessing they don't have M$ publisher? Could they use a simple HTML editor (like yahoo or tripod uses)?
I have used sitespinner (from Virtual Mechanics) in the past. Granted, it is a bit more advanced but it does allow you to export to an FTP server.

i had her do it, save as i guess.... thne i was bored in her office and i told her to send me the document so i can mess with it, export might be the way to go (i'll check). not an expert in Word myself :} thx.

there is a specific 'save as website' option in word 2003
and a 'preview html/website' option as well...maybe if it previews right then the save as will work if not then i dont think there would be anything you could do to make it look like that with out messing with it in another program somehow

Maybe she has FrontPage as part of her M$ Office package and doesn't know she has it? It's got some fairly decent hold-your-hand-and-walk-ya-thru-it wizards...

Publisher's a mostly redundant program that I use to make signs at work.
