| I, like so many others, had a bad HS experience as well however I find it best to "never hold grudges". I actually recieved an mass forward form one of the people who is setting the reunion up which basically was calling out another individual. Granted her email was not appropriate by any means but still. Its like, we are all in our mid to late 20's but yet someof us havent grown out of that "high school" stage.

We went with some friends of his that we still keep in touch with. (We live about 25 minutes from where he grew up...). For him, this was a great experience. Kids who were jerks in High School were still jerks, but later in life, that doesn't bother you so much!
Hubby was a "nerd" in high school, and so were his friends because they liked to study. One friend is now a prominent eye surgeon, living in a home valued at over 2.2 million. Other friend is an attorney, married with 2 kids, living in a well to do area of NJ. My hubby is an attorney, owns his own business, and is also living in one of the nicer/wealthier areas of Long Island.
The prom queen was fat and divorced! (Yeahhhh!) Prom king didn' t show up. We had fun because we were with friends, kids weren't there, and drinks were included!
Listen to the song "High School Never Ends" by Bowling For Soup.
And have fun a the reunion!! | Well see, heres the funny thing for me. Apparently the prom king is a VP at a bank. His wife is a stay at home mom who just gave birth to their second child. Some of the other people who were jerks have predominent jobs elsewhere. One of the kids who used to pick on me told me once that Id never amount to anything ROFL, as I now work for a 5star resort. KARMA roolz! lol

I was told, however, that I would never have a boyfriend (I have had quite a few since HS, thank you...) and have been married for 19 years. Come to think of it, it would be fun to flash my "rock" in the cheerleaders faces! LOL...My head cheerleader did marry the football quarterback (go figure), but they filed for bankruptcy and are divorced. Sort of like Brenda & Eddie (of Billy Joel's song...) |
