Fruit cake..?!

Considering it's that time of year I began to ponder... Fruit cake: what is it? do people actualy eat it? what are some other uses for this seasonal "favorite"?

Personaly I haven't tried to consume it yet, however I have found several uses for it around the house.

- doorstop
- wheel chock
- quiet the neighbor's dog

This year I will mark my first lump of " christmas gold " and send it off to the next person. After wich I intend to track it like people do for $1 bills. Something like whereisthefruitcake.com

I can honestly say that I've never eaten a piece, nor have I been given one. If so, I would likely use it for bait in the squirrel traps in the back yard.
