Default Favorite Movies......

Starlight suggested starting this topic, so I figured I would pick up the ball and run with it.

Which is an apropos analogy for me because i don't watch much "must see" tv. I am a sports nut and my tv only travels off ESPN/ESPN2 to watch Law and Order reruns.

I do try and go to the movies once a month with girlfriends. The last movie I saw was the "The Great Debaters". An excellent movie by the way.

Would have to say that my favorite movie is a tie between "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Grease". Go figure!!!

I'm a SciFi nut, but also very critical of the storylines. A good "stupid comedy" is also nice. Throw in some decent anime and occasional drama

Worn out 3 copies of Spaceballs and can watch the opening scene of Super Troopers every day

Well, my favorites are quite a few. I can narrow it down to just a handful though.

Big Trouble in Little China, The Matrix, Hudson Hawk, and Ever After (w/ Drew Barrymore).

I'll exclude the Starwars episodes, as they are really in a class all themselves. Ranked in order of the 6: Episode 5, 3, 2, 4, 6 and 1.

I'll take a look through the Collection at home and post up others that are my favorites. I'll also edit this up to say why they are.

My friends think I am sick because I absolutely LOVE Morgan Freeman. I don't know what does it for everyone else but he does it for me, no matter his age. So I have to go and see The Bucket List.

But I guess, that would be another thread "Favorite Actors/Actresses. Oh well, I digress again.

My 35 year old friend has a bucket list and I declare she's trying to kill me with the things she wants to do and for some reason even though it's not my list I am included!

Too many . . . but a few that immediately come to mind (in no particular order):

Ashes of Time
Chungking Express
Pulp Fiction
The Seven Samurai
The Usual Suspects
Infernal Affairs
Memento
Se7en
Rashomon
Oldboy
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Killer

If I have to narrow it down to one, right now I would say Snakes on a Plane. It's so delightfully bad. I liked Transformers, but some of the changes and errors bugged me. Otheer than that I like too many movies to really list a favorite.
