| There was another time (same project) where he drove a nail through the board and through his thumb (and thumbnail) because the nail bent and came out the side of the post.
In addition to learning a lot about construction, woodwork, plumbing, wiring, and such from him. I also learned quite a few things not to do...

| He stopped talking to me under the pretense that I had debt (since paid off). I think it was more that I moved out of his house (and wasn't handing them my paychecks any more), didn't choose the career path he wanted, joined the Army, got married, and generally wasn't under his controll any more. Picture the dad from Titus (if anyone remembers that show anymore)
I've come to terms with it, I try every day to make myself a better person despite the influence he had on my upbringing.
If I send pictures of my boys to my sister who still lives at home (with a return address on the envelope) she never gets them. So we keep in touch on facebook and myspace.
The Ironic thing was, about 2 years ago I saw in a newspaper that he filed for bankruptcy.

| you don't have to be. I've come to terms (if he hasn't it's his problem). I'm taking the experience and using it to help me be a better father for my boys.
I'm glad ebay wasn't around when I was 4, although I did take some clocks apart at that age...
