Default Changes to the Mobile Network in the USA

8 months ago my parents came to visit in the USA and brought with them a Sagem my500c on T-Mobile. It worked perfectly.

They have just arrived again for another visit and this time the phone won't work.

Does anyone know if anything has happened to the mobile phone network since then that could have changed it working then but not now.

It is a dual band phone but last year it worked!

I know this site is read by many intelligent people so I'm looking to you all for some answers!

Craig

Default

Did they change the band manually to 1900mhz? T-mobile uses the 1900 predominantly (as per T-Mobile FAQ's). 850 Mhz is used by AT&T.

Try changing the band to 850/1900. See if that works.
