The name of the bowler in this "classic" trick shot demo is Norm Duke. the particular shot he executed is one that's a favorite of higher average, or SCRATCH bowlers for years. I,personally, have executed this little trick many times myself. I've probably bowled in over 100+ different bowling centers in tournaments in about 8 to 10 different states, and I'm amazed at how many times I've seen this great little shot performed. And here's the funny part, R.B., at least as far as the "spinning ball" part goes, I guarantee ya, YOU could practice that for about 10 minutes, and it would work for you just as well. As long as you get the ball (preferably a "HOUSE" ball) spinning as fast as you possibly can, and just mildly tap the ball in the direction of the target, it's one of those "automatic" stunts that works almost every time. Now.....with that being said, I certainly DO NOT recommend trying the other part of the trick. That part takes a little work. It IS, though, absolutely hilarious watching the spinning ball creep down the lane, kind of weaving from side to side, hardly EVER finding the gutter.

Lots of laughs.
