The day of her trip was the day the sh** hit the fan for Governor Spitzer (now ex-Governor Spitzer), so the trip was cancelled!

Hopefully, you'll have better luck with your endeavors!

By the way, how did your son's IEP go? Is he getting all the services he needs? One of these days, I'll pm you on my son's story...

Good Luck today!
Yikes that is cruddy Thanx to ex Gov.
We saw aides and I had another lady in my group with the same first name. but she goes by sherry and I dont. It was a battle but I won...ha jk.

The young man at one of the Reps office put my boots in his file cabinet for a while. I shoulda got a pic of that haha. I plan on emailing him a thank you though.

It was interesting, we got to say a bunch of stuff said...no budget at present just threats of 10% across the board. I did have a suggestion though and that was that public officials should have to send their own children to public schools then there would not be a budget issue in public schools period

It was not my son's IEP that is at the end of the month.
This was a whole different thing...still an IEP but im sworn to secrecy. I can only say right now...I dont know. Bottom line in the county I live in its a fat chance anything will change any time soon.

darn it THR! i did not see ur reply earlier lol@ pokey.
Hey ive got it all figured out...trust me...i just hope the sugar mama is some what attractive, imagination only goes so far. jk truth be told i can get tips on prison survival from my "step" daughter.

im usually well behaved and really it does no service to take aggressions out on legislative aids. Which were all wonderful i might add. Hey anyone that will baby sit my boots is ok by me (already sent the thank you) i really wish i would have got a pick of the boots in the file cabinet lol.

Two lobbiests cut in front of me coming into the captiol building. One had a BB pearl and i saw his phone and joked he couldnt cut in front of me with "that" phone. Guess what one SELPA group all had Q.s from there offices.

bottom line id go again and id speak again. funny how i wasnt nervous at all. It was actually pretty fun.

Glad to know that you accomplished what you set out to do. Unfortunately while the politicians listen we see little action. But at least you went and presented your 2 cents.

And glad to know we won't have to come up with any bail money. With gas prices steadily going up that would be real hard to come up with the cash fast enough to prevent you from having an unwanted girlfriend.

Re: the gf that would be a tough cookie to swallow. I try to avoid lock-up when at all possible. lol

Its worse than that. There is a proposed buget but proposed is the key word. Essentially there is no budget yet. But this day is a day when SELPA
and Community Advisory Committe's can go be "heard". Politics aside its a childrens issue and taking away more is repugnant as one person said.
From a fiscal aspect even you do not have a feeling of moral obligation to people if these children do not recieve the services now it could be a very rough future for this state. We have an enourmous growing population of children with autism at various stages on the spectrum. It is well known that if the services are provided there is better opportunity for the affected person and society. The fiscal impact down the road will blow your mind, these kids are not going to disappear. The choice is really in the hands of the Governator and the legislature.

Sitting back and doing or saying nothing does nothing. Really people generally do not get involved in poliltics until it hits their own. I just happend to get an opportunity to go because "Bill" had something come up. I dont even know Bill but I do know he fell to his knees last year in the State Senators office.
