| My hatred for Sony will keep me from ever purchasing any of their products, which is too bad cause I've seen the PS3 in action and it looks awesome.

| I'm not really a fanboy for either system. I have a PS3 and a Xbox 360 and at the moment am partial to my 360. I'll be honest i haven't turned the PS3 on in a couple months other than to watch Blu-Ray movies and I am playing my 360 all the time. I only have 2 games for it vs. 15 for my Xbox 360. Really in terms of gameplay, there is not alot of difference between the two systems right now. I don't see any games where the PS3 has a clear advantage over the 360. I do think that will change with time as more games arrive and developers take advantage of the system's capabilities and the huge capacity of the blu-ray discs. The PS3 is a good buy just for the blu-ray player alone, as most blu-ray players cost alot more than the PS3 system. The icing on the cake for the PS3 over the Xbox 360 in terms of bang for your buck is the built in Wi-Fi on the 60GB model, the capacity (60GB vs. 20GB), and the use of HDMI 1.3. Xbox has announced the Elite system which boasts an HDMI output and a 120GB hard drive for $479.00. The PS3 is still a better buy at $599 due to ability to play blu-ray and built in wi-fi.

I don't think it will be a BetaMax/VHS thing. LG announced at CES a dual format HD-DVD/BR player. I think it's going to be a decision based on personal preference. To my untrained eye, i really can't tell a difference.

| well i saw the PS3 in a store for the first time on saturday and well...just had to get it and glad i did. also bought casino royal to watch...wow what quality i couldnt believe it. although i thought the movie was supposed to take up the whole screen there were still bars on the top of the screen...perhaps it was the dvd or one of my settings was off...ah well...still kick ass...thanks for everyones input!
